SOUTH EAST ASIA’S POOL EVENT RETURNS TO THAILAND


Pool&SpaTech Asia will take the stage from 19-21 September this year at the Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. The trade show has been rebranded and is being held in conjunction with Landscape Asia and World Spa & Well-being.


The pool and spa event will focus on technology and solutions for the pool and spa market while World Spa & Well-being Convention will focus on services for the spa industry.


The three-in-one event aims to unlock opportunities for exhibitors with the aim to showcase their products in Asia.


Businesses that are keen to explore opportunities in Asia, in particular Thailand, stand to reap the benefits a from a tourism plan which had been developed for Thailand. Aimed at increasing tourism income, the plan covers 385 tourism development leisure projects in eight areas for upgrading of pool and spa facilities. The beach resorts will receive the biggest slice of the budget with US$120m available to fund 141 projects nationwide.


A series of industry seminars will be held alongside the trade exhibition. Seminar topics range from eco-friendly construction, planning, engineering, managing, innovating and management of swimming pool and spa hardware. A specialised seminar on green landscaping and eco-friendly solutions for green spaces will be organised for the landscape industry.

STUTTGART EVENT BUCKS THE TREND WITH GROWTH FOR 2012

Interbad, the biennial Stuttgart- based pool, sauna and spa exhibition, have announced that 270 companies have already registered for this year’s event, a 10% increase over the previous show at the same stage.


The event takes place on 9 to 12 October and Interbad seem to be bucking the current economic trend of specialist events struggling to find growth.


“The loyalty of the exhibitors and the increasing number of newcomer exhibitors shows that Interbad is offering the perfect platform for professional dialogue at the highest level,” said Ulrich Kromer, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart – who organise the


He told a launch press conference: “With new industry trends, presented at various levels of the trade fair together with our partners, as well as a top-class programme of accompanying events, we are optimistic that we can continue the positive development seen over the last few years.”


The organisers want to set new record attendance figures, and expect around 480 companies to exhibit at this year’s event. A third of show exhibitors and a quarter of visitors come from outside Germany.

SPLASH STEPS UP BID TO GET AWARD WINNER PRESS COVERAGE


The Australian trade show SPLASH has been working hard to win wider press coverage for the winners of its SPLASH! Environmental Awards run alongside the show.


The 2012 event is being held at Jupiter’s Gold Coast, Gold Coast Queensland on the 25 and 26 July. The SPLASH event is respected throughout the world as being one of the most innovative and creative shows on the calendar and organisers are trying to secure more consumer press coverage for the award winners.


After the awards have been presented at the gala dinner hosted by Olympic champion Duncan Armstrong, Intermedia’s marketing department is to run a specific campaign to maximise coverage in the consumer media.

300% GROWTH FOR INDIA’S 2012 SHOW


India’s booming economy is helping industries flourish not only within the country but around the world. As the world taps into the fastest growing pool and spa market, the 2nd WAVES Expo, India’s pool and spa trade show, is on track to surpass its projected 300% growth and several US companies are leading the way.


The 2nd WAVES Pool Spa Bath Expo will be held on the 6 to 8 September, 2012, at the new, modern India Expo Centre & Mart, in Greater Noida, Delhi, with educational conferences taking place on 6 and 7 September. President of WAVES, Christopher Castillo, said: “I couldn’t be more pleased and excited with the level of growth from the inaugural expo last year.
