WENSUM BEST NEWCOMER AS JACUZZI CELEBRATES UK DEALER SUCCESSES

Andrea Morrison has made quite an impact as a Jacuzzi retailer since she started selling the hot tubs from her Wensum Pools showrooms in Norfolk. “We started selling Jacuzzi tubs last March and we’ve been really impressed with their service back up, professionalism and marketing. They’ve been a joy to work with.” Andrea has sold over 50 of the famous hot tubs at Wensum – a sales performance which won the East Anglian business one of the top winners at the company’s award night as Jacuzzi’s best new retailer. Wensum stock 20 hot tubs in their showroom.
“People ask for them because they know they are getting quality,” she said. Andrea also won a new iPad for doubling sales from last year November to March.
The awards evening, which followed a special training session, was held at Rookery Hall, in the heart of Cheshire.
Another of the top awards of the evening was for long service and went to Powerpools from Cwmffrwd in Carmarthen.
“We’ve been with Jacuzzi for nine years and we only sell their hot tubs. We don’t mess about with anything else. It’s not the biggest part of our business but it works very well for us,” said Malcolm Rees from Powerpools. “They are selling well. I have a theory that even in a recession those people who want to spend their money are looking to protect
their investments with a quality purchase and they certainly get that with Jacuzzi.”
Outdoor Living, the Yorkshire based dealers, won double glory by becoming Jacuzzi’s retailer of the year and capturing the award for most sales during 2011. Kevin Newby was on hand from Outdoor Living to accept the award. The top dealer award was based on sales and customer service standards. Outdoor Living has been selling Jacuzzi’s for two years and has 30 on display in its Hull showroom. Falcon Pools followed up their BISHTA success at SPATEX with the best installation award for Jacuzzi as part of a luxury complex which included a steam room and posed special problems in terms of being able to gain access underneath the hot tub.
Euphoria Lifestyle with showrooms in Washington, Sussex and Wallington in Surrey were another double winner taking both the Jacuzzi dedication award and best Jacuzzi retailer website.
Jacuzzi took the opportunity to inform retailers about new product innovations for 2012, Jas part of the day in Cheshire. Andrew Parsons, Training and Development Manager, captured interest by introducing the brand new J415, J425 and J495 models in the flesh. He also delivered training on new ClearRay™ UV technology and ProClarity™ filtration changes.
The awards night was an ideal setting with a separate conference hall and reception area, where guests were spoiled with themed cocktails, casino games tables and a free bar. The theme of the evening and table décor echoed the 2012 Jetset Incentive Scheme launched at the event. Winners in the 2012 scheme will Jetset off to either Monte Carlo or California and Las Vegas.
Awarding retailers with personalised trophies for their contribution in the last 12 months is a rewarding part of the evening for all. “Celebrating growth and success with all our retailers is hugely important for us,” says Martyn Winstone, Sales Manager for Jacuzzi UK. “It is a motivating evening for us all and highlights just what we can achieve together.”
