CROSS FLOW SYSTEM ADDS TO TRIOGEN RANGE

BACKWASH FILTER RETURNS WATER TO THE POOL

Certikin has a low cost simple solution for when water is a problem – an ingenious Water Saving Backwash Filter.

The filter does exactly what it says it does – save water!

Rather than losing the backwash water down the waste line this ingenious device allows the customer to filter and return the water to the pool. The 50 sq. ft filter is pre-fitted with two no. 1.5” hose tails. One side has a 3m length of flexible hose fitted. The customer uses this hose to connect up to his present sand filter with the jubilee clips supplied. The cartridge filter catches any dirt inside the sand filter which is flushed out during back washing. The water, which is normally wasted during the back wash process, can then be redirected back into the pool thus saving water. The customer uses his own back wash hose to direct the water back into the pool.

The filter is fitted to its own base panel so it can be conveniently placed in the plant room next to the sand filter. The filter element must be cleaned with a suitable cleaner between back washes and replaced after six to eight cycles.

Triogen’s innovative UVARAY Cross flow (CF) system, available now, has been developed over 18 months as a further addition to their UVARAY range, providing optimal ease of installation and covers flow rates from 40 to 830 m3/h. The CE approved system utilises a 316L stainless steel reactor, fitted with a DVGW approved UV sensor, reactor temperature sensor and an automatic ‘smart drive’ wiper system. The reactor also features quick release UV lamp connections making lamp replacement simple. The new system is cost effective offering high efficiency, easy low cost installation and maintenance. Also available is their new TR2 low pressure UV system specially

designed for disinfection of small pools, spas, ponds and water features. The four TR2 models within the range covers flow rates up to 40 m3/h and are manufactured in UV inhibited polymeric materials making them suitable for pools utilising both salt water chlorinators or standard chemical dosing. The system offers reduced chemical consumption, improved algae control and water clarity along with superior bather comfort. The TR2 range is simple to install and operate.

PURE STREAM MEANS NO MORE SCALE AND NO MORE HARD WATER

Filters4Spas has a new ion exchange resin pre-filter on the market to give spas and hot tubs softer and purer water. Hard water is not good for spas. As well as uncomfortable scale on the wall of the tub, white calcium marks on the jets, and limescale build up in the filter, it is inside

where all the damage is being done, especially in the heater, eventually limescale will become present in the tub itself in the form of ‘calcium flakes’. Using chemicals to counter- act this process is expensive and time consuming.

Using Pure-Stream is like filling

your spa with expensive bottled water – Ion Exchange Resin removes unwanted calcium and magnesium replacing it with soft sodium instead – the result is no more scale – no more hard water! Pure-Stream is available to the trade now.

FLEXI NETS – MOST FLEXIBLE POOL NETS IN THE WORLD!

Red Leopard Europe has launched their new Flexi Nets, claimed to be the most flexible pool nets in the world! Designed with a soft touch finish to prevent surface damage to the pool surface perfect for vinyl pools and double moulded to provide an ultra strong connection between the net and frame, Red Leopard Flexi Nets reach parts of the pool that other nets can’t reach.

Red Leopard Flexi Nets make light work of cleaning the pool and those ‘hard to reach’ areas, such as ladders, steps or corners. They easily bend around pool obstacles and then bounce back into shape. Flexi Nets are available in two models – a skimmer net for surface

leaves and a deep net for scooping up debris along the bottom of the pool. The deep net even comes with drag reduction holes to help movement of the net along the bottom of the pool.

William Ellis, Director of Red Leopard Europe, said: “We’ve not only developed a net that gives our customers more flexibility and ease, we’ve priced it at a point that competes with standard rigid pool nets – we think that is not only great innovation but great value too.”
