Croatia’s Dalmatian coastline is dotted with more than a thousand islands. On our classic ‘Oldtimer’ cruiser we set off from historic Dubrovnik to explore several of these beautiful islands, including Mljet and Korcula. We cruise from island to island, landing on some to cycle along their quiet roads. In the evenings we enjoy delicious Croatian food, either on board or in traditional sea- front restaurants.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Dubrovnik. Day 2 Dubrovnik Guided walking tour of Dubrovnik: a World Heritage Site, and one of the world’s finest examples of a fortified medieval town. Day 3 Mljet Sail to the heavily forested island. Cycle on quiet paths to the Monastery of St Mary. Days 4/5 Korcula The birthplace of Marco Polo. Explore Korcula’s quiet coves and sleepy harbour towns. Cycle the Napoleonic Road and taste some delicious local wines. Day 6 Sipan Island Home to the palaces of Dubrovnik’s wealthy and powerful elite. Cycle through pomegranate, fig and citrus groves – flanked by high limestone cliffs – to reach Sipanska Luka. Day 7 Cavtat Sail to the mainland. Take a final cycle ride around picturesque Cavtat. Return to Dubrovnik. Day 8 Fly to UK.

Route and Terrain: On this cycling tour we cycle 106 km over six days (an average of 18 km per day) with a further optional 28 km. The roads are quiet and well surfaced, mainly asphalt but with some gravel sections. The terrain is gently undulating and we have graded the route easy.
