The Czech gaming industry is governed by the Act No. 201/1990 which covers lotteries and other games. Sazka is the biggest market share holder and more than 80 per cent of its revenues come from the lottery. The second is Synot with the bulk of its revenue coming from VLTs and the third is Bonver WIN Inc which deals in technical games and is the third largest operator of VLTs. Sazka went up for sale in September last year after declaring bankruptcy and the highest bidder was Sazkova Kancelar with a purchase bid of CzK3.810bn, which now owns the company.
