YOU HAVE TO GO TO GALIANO ISLAND NOW. I hope that it will not change too much over the next few years but what if it did and you missed this special time in its evolution. On an “everyone-is-staying-on-the-island” kind of day, the residents on Galiano number just under 1300. Oh yes, there are many characters, but they have all come to Galiano with a tremendous wealth of experience they use to shape their community life. This is a place where people are the main players on a real life stage. Driving around the Island, I met up with Sidney, a jewellery maker, three times in my very first day there. She remembered me and said
