UNITED STATES
The Port is a destination for Puget Sound boaters, and it is proud to carry the title of the “Largest Public Marina on the west coast of North America.” The 2,300 slip marina is protected by approximately 1,800 lineal feet of breakwater, which also serves as guest moorage in the busy summer season. The North and South Marina offer moorage for slips ranging from 20’-70’, with pier ends up to 140’. This facility accommodates pleasure boats, fishing vessels as well as smaller visiting boaters. In 2007, the Port opened the 12th Street Yacht Basin, which contains 155 permanent moorage slips and more than 70 spots open for tourists. The Yacht Basin caters to yacht-class vessels ranging from 40’-70’, with end tie availability up to 143’. The Everett Marina has also earned the Clean Marina Leadership Award, the highest level of certification by Clean Marina Washington. The Port of Everett’s new Craſtsman District serves as a marina and the largest boat launch in the state. One of the basic concepts of the North Marina Redevelopment Project (Port Gardner Wharf), is to consolidate all boat repair and maintenance activities into a central area. This area, known as the Craſtsman District, is planned to be a combination of mixed-use developments around a central port-controlled boatyard. Public transit runs along the eastern edge of the marina property, providing easy transportation to the downtown Everett area - only a few of miles away. For a burst of color and aromas, one can visit the Everett Farmers’ Market on the Port Gardner waterfront during the summer months. Stunning flower arrangements, freshly prepared foods, local produce and craſts abound at this popular market. Local musicians can be heard during the Sunday markets, from June through September. Everett offers a vibrant, creative and cultural community overflowing with public art collections, galleries and festivals. Popular events like the ‘Fresh Paint: Festival of Artists at Work’, August 20-21, turn the Everett Marina into a huge outdoor studio and sidewalk gallery. If you enjoy fishing, take in the Everett Coho Derby, September 24-25 - maybe you’ll catch the winner! No visit to the Pacific Northwest would be complete without a trip to the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour. Explore the dynamics of flight and experience new aviation innovations. You can design and virtually test your own jet. Strap yourself into the Innovator for an exhilarating trip. Undergo a virtual destination or experience; the Battle for Iwo Jima, a Grand Prix Race or a trip in a barnstorming stunt plane. Then go behind the scenes at Boeing, in the world’s largest building, to watch the assembly of those very same jets you may one day be a passenger on. From the 10th Street Boat Launch at the Everett Marina you can catch the free five- minute ferry over
to the Port of Everett’s Jetty Island (July through Labor Day), which is provided in partnership by the City of Everett Parks Department. There, simply stroll the two- mile-long sandy beach, viewing the wide array of bird species that make this locale their home. Kite-boarders love the consistent and steady aſternoon breezes that send them skittering across the emerald waters. Experienced kite-boarders play upon the waves like frolicking sea nymphs, inspiring the beginners and novices alike, all whom love the shallow waters and the clean sandy beaches of Jetty Island. Dozens of brightly colored sails dance upon the saltwater. Considered an extreme sport, kite-boarding is a blend of water skiing, wake-boarding and wind surfing and is quickly becoming a popular pastime for enthusiasts of all ages. The very moment that you enter the lobby of the boutique-style Inn at Port Gardner, you can feel the warmth of the great Northwest. The picturesque, sweeping views of Puget Sound, Port Gardner Bay, Everett Marina and the majestic Olympic Mountains provide a stunning scene. This is a place where traditional hospitality is the cornerstone for every member of the staff; each one taking joy in making your stay memorable. Just steps from the Inn is the popular promenade, leading the way to several excellent restaurants and shops.
