We relied on Julie, our server - and one of the two owners- to recommend a wine for us from their extensive cellar. We were not disappointed with her choice.
Friday Harbor’s new jewel on the accommodation front is The Island Inn, located in the heart of downtown Friday Harbor,

goods, and assorted fresh fruit and juices.

Vinny’s Ristorante is on the “must do” list of great Pacific Northwest dining! The place was full when we dined there in mid-September, with a good mix of locals and visitors pouring over the extensive menu of seafood, steaks and Italian specialties. We enjoyed the mushroom medley, which was lightly done in a dry Marsala butter sauce to start our evening, along with a plate of the grilled Alaskan weathervane scallops, marinated in a chili-lime vinaigrette. Both were delicious, but were just a prelude to the entrees that followed. The chicken Parmigiano, lightly dusted with flour then pan- seared and baked with a topping of marinara sauce and parmesan cheese, was nothing short of divine. The linguine Alla Granchio, showcasing Dungeness crab sautéed with butter and garlic and tossed with fresh basil, tomatoes and linguine, was to die for.
