Washington’s Victorian Seaport PORT TOWNSEND
PORT TOWNSEND IS HOME TO THE FIRST AND LARGEST WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL in North America, and now a year-round destination and resource for wooden boat enthusiasts. The Wooden Boat Foundation is located at the Northwest Maritime Centre adjacent to the entrance to Point Hudson Marina (home of the Wooden Boat Festival), and in the heart of the historic and civic district of downtown Port Townsend. Boatyards, boat shops, expert craſtspeople - from sail makers and riggers to woodworking artisans - are within walking distance of the marina. The new 26,000 square foot Northwest Maritime Centre offers classes, boat storage, a boat shop and a pilothouse with navigation and communication equipment. The Boat Shop is where visitors can see ongoing boat-building projects

ranging from individuals building their own small boats to larger group projects. The Education Building is open six days a week offering “a little bit of Wooden Boat Festival” all year round and it is free to the public. Starting September 7th, 2012,
wooden boat lovers from around the world gather here to share their love for the classic boats. This four- day Wooden Boat Festival has grown through the years to include nearly 300 wooden vessels, on land and in the water. The marina is also home to Sea Marine, where they have been providing trustworthy services since 1975 with haul out, repairs, brokerage and a fantastic marine store. Check out the new Inland Sound, 48-foot yacht, designed specifically for boating in the Pacific Northwest.
Production takes place right here at Sea Marine, utilizing a
“tailgate” transom design and low- profile fly-bridge to maximize utility without compromising beauty. The interior is craſted to the highest standards using native hardwoods and fine furnishings. The new yacht is available on a semi-custom basis to better serve the particular needs of each individual owner. Point Hudson Marina & RV Park is located on the northeast corner of the Olympic Peninsula in historic Port Townsend.
On the primary
route to the San Juan Islands, this modern, full-service marina has an abundant supply of guest moorage. Home to 475 commercial and recreational vessels and more than sixty marine trades businesses, the Boat Haven provides more than 6,000 overnight guest moorage accommodations for visiting boats every year.
