B. Alteck Diesel in Campbell River is a supplier
of quality gas and diesel engines. See them for service, parts, accessories, leases and custom work. Repower or rebuilds for on the water and on the land. Campbell River Ocean Pacific Marine Supply - 2 great locations making them the largest marine supply store on the North part on Vancouver Island.

3. Denman Island - ferry is in Buckley Bay, the village is on the east side in Baynes Sound, post office & store. Hornby Island has a 3 tonne crane on the public float, also post office, motel, stores, campsite and launching ramp.

Courtenay has a public float, diesel, gasoline, repairs and all you would find in a larger city. Comox is the home of the Canadian Forces Base (airfield) and is in an area of prime farmland.
5. Campbell River - Called the “Salmon Capital of the World”, sports fishermen come from all over the world to practice their skills. Discovery Passage is the most used passage between Quadra Island and Vancouver Island. Seymour Narrows is 2 miles long and Ripple Rock in the center causes very hazardous water. Only pass at or near slack water especially if towing someone or if your vessel has lower amount of power.
