Education@Roundabout’s mission doesn’t end at high school graduation. During the 2010/11 season, Roundabout’s Theatre Plus seminars enhanced the theatre-going experience for audience members of all ages through deeper engagement with the work on Roundabout’s stages.


THIS YEAR IN THEATRE PLUS:


■ 4,836 Patrons participated in Roundabout’s Theatre Plus programs.


■ 211 Theatre Plus events were facilitated by Teaching Artists and education staff.


■ Subscribers engaged in 8 sessions with Education Dramaturg Ted Sod on the historical, cultural, political and educational aspects of productions through the Lecture Series.


■ Classroom teachers received heavily subsidized discount tickets to Roundabout performances that featured 18 specialized pre- and post-show discussions through the Teachers Night Series.


■ Single ticket buyers participated in 189 pre-show discussions through Theatre Talks.


■ All Roundabout audience members have access to Upstage Playgoer’s Guides on Roundabout’s website.


■ Roundabout Teaching Artists hosted 32 lively post-show discussions with Sutton Foster, Olympia Dukakis, Brian Bedford and many others for a behind-the-scenes look at Roundabout productions through the Celebrity Series.
