CAREERDEVELOPMENT

Roundabout spring 2011 interns volunteer at the Anything Goes all-student matinee.

An ongoing concern in the arts community is the issue of succession; not having enough experienced young leaders to assume upper-level positions at not-for-profit arts organizations. Roundabout’s 2010/11 Career Development program provided 33 interns with an intensive, curriculum-based and hands-on pre- and/or post-graduate experience.

CAREER DEVELOPENT INTERNS:

■ Received compensation for their work, making Roundabout one of the few theatre companies to provide financial support.

■ Participated in 33 seminars with Roundabout senior staff.

■ Moved into full-time positions at Roundabout, with 20 recent interns as current staff members.

RTC interns Claire-Marine Sarner and Catherine Morton share the artwork development process with students.

Leadership Council member Barbara Hack leads a workshop for RTC Interns.
