In order to extend it’s muesli and cereal bar offering, the Alpen brand has launched a new porridge range. According to Weetabix, they have released the range as consumers are looking to snack less, which means porridge sales are on the increase. The range has also been designed to appeal to adults looking for added variety in their porridge choice and is available in three flavours - Fruit & Nut, Raspberry, Apple & Raisin and Blueberry, Cranberry & Nuts. The range is available in Tesco and Morrisons.


In aiming to drive the infant feeding category sector forward, Heinz have released their out-of-home baby juice range. The convenient 150ml plastic bottles are, according to the manufacturer, to allow mums to give their babies a refreshing and tasty juice drink with spring water when they are out-of-home or ‘on the go.’ The range is available in two flavours: Apple with Spring Water and Apple & Blackcurrant with Spring Water, and has an RRP of £0.69.


In order to broaden it’s Penn State brand, Intersnack have decided to offer a seasonal addition for Christmas. Using that favourite combination of sweet and salty, the new Penn State Chocolate Pretzel is a baked salted pretzel half-coated on the bottom with real milk chocolate. The pretzels are packed in share-size 100g bags, with an RRP of £2.49. They have already achieved national listings in Waitrose, Asda, Morrisons, Budgens and Londis.


Under a new licensing agreement with the UK’s leading nutrition brand The Food Doctor, manufacturer Symington’s have launched a range of wholesome pots for both lunchtime and on-the-go eating. They come in three flavours: bulgar wheat and quinoa with tomatoes, black olives and


basil, bulgar wheat and quinoa with aspara- gus, leek and mint, and cous cous and lentils with tomatoes, red peppers and cumin. They contain no salt and no added sugar and are available from Tesco. They have an RRP of £1.39 and were launched with a £1 offer.
