Looking to introduce something new to the somewhat saturated gin market, London-based Edgerton Distillers have launched their Pink Gin, a product they claim to be an industry first. Despite the gin’s feminine colour (which comes courtesy of pomegranate), the drink still holds 47 per cent volume. Other ingredients include coriander, angelica, juniper, orris root, sweet orange peel, cassia bark and nutmeg.


The squares range fromKellogg’s isworth £13mand is currently the biggest-selling cereal snack range in the category. To further the range, themanufacturer have released a fifth variant - Rocky Road,which comprises of Rice Krispies,meltedmarshmallows,


shortbread biscuit, juicy fruit andwhite chocolate chunks - to tap into the consumer trend for indulgent treat categories. Available fromJanuary, the Rocky Road Rice Krispies Squarewill have an RRP of 55p (single bar) and £1.89 (multipack of four).


Snack manufacturer Burts Chips have re-introduced their popular Aberdeen Angus flavoured potato chips following strong consumer demand. The relaunch, which continues Burts Chips’ strategy of limited edition seasonal varieties, follows on from the success of the brand’s summer flavour, Pesto. The range will be available until March 2012 and are available in 40g bags (RRP £0.69) and 150g sharing bags (RRP £1.89).


In order to give a ‘helping hand’ in the kitchen, theWilliam Jackson Food Group (along with Symington’s) have launched two new easy dessert solutions under their Aunt Bessie’s brand. The Creamy Instant Custard, which is made from simply adding boiling water, is available in standard sachets or with no added sugar. The Crumble Mix contains 400g of golden crumble mix, which is the perfect serving size to make a large family crumble. The custard has a RRP of £0.59 and the crumble retails for £0.79.
