Cortado Instant Printer for increased laptop security

ortado has launched its new Instant Printer – a software product that is claimed to be able to increase the security of laptops by making printer
driver installation on the devices unnecessary. With Cortado Instant Printer, companies can prevent software and drivers from being installed by locking the laptop without requiring users to sacrifice printing to network or locally installed printers.

The solution is easily enabled when the user selects ‘Cortado Instant Printer’ as a printer. The software searches the network for available printers and suggests suitable drivers for the user. After choosing the printer and driver, the print job is sent encrypted to the Cortado server, where it is rendered and sent back to the user’s workstation.
