Honeywell releases Remote Mastermind for Mobility 2.5 software
H
oneywell has announced that customers using Honeywell mobile devices equipped with Honeywell’s Remote MasterMind for
Mobility 2.5 software can now track key operational metrics, including battery life, barcode scans, and keypad/touch screen interactions. The software’s enhancements are in addition to its ability to manage, update and remotely diagnose Microsoft Windows operating system-based mobile devices within a network from one centralised location.
Remote access
Building on the functionality of Remote MasterMind for Mobility introduced in May, the latest release provides users with remote access to software distribution, data configuration and asset tracking, as well as device performance measurement for enhanced troubleshooting capabilities. This customised measurement tool helps maximise mobile workforce productivity by allowing IT professionals to remotely determine the root cause of device performance issues, such as reoccurring scan errors or low battery power, and identify a solution.
“Crafted specifically to meet the demands of our customer base, the Remote MasterMind for Mobility solution continues to improve with pronounced upgrades,” said Kurt Thomet, president, Quest Solution. “With this enhanced offering, the retrieval of real-time device usage and performance metrics across a mobile network has never been easier.”
Remote MasterMind for Mobility also allows users to experience how a software application operates first-hand on a mobile device with Honeywell’s “LIVE! Test Drive,” available on
ISVstore.com.
Driving improved efficiency across the workforce
“Ensuring that our customers reap the benefits of customised performance measurement, the new platform simplifies the tracking and evaluation of critical device operations in real time, driving improved efficiency across the workforce,” said John Waldron, vice president of worldwide marketing, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “The latest update of our Remote MasterMind for Mobility solution marks the first of many planned remote management enhancements for our enterprise customers.”
“Providing a greater level of insight into device usage, Remote MasterMind for Mobility is the key driver to successful mobile workforce management,” said Ken Gulaian, vice president of services and software, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “The new data tracking capabilities deliver on Honeywell’s commitment to identifying the most productive ways to manage and experience Honeywell mobile products.”
In addition to the release of Remote MasterMind for Mobility 2.5, Remote MasterMind for Scanning now offers expanded device support.
