They reigned in good possession of the ball early on, choosing good passes and communicating well as a team. Quick feet from Ross Frame and sharp runs from each winger created two goals for UWIC before the half time break. The midfield were organised well by Captain Tom Bowen and UWIC found themselves playing some beautiful football. Attacks were built from the middle of the park and were intelligently considered before piercing balls were released for Ed Jones to attack the right wing


relentlessly, whipping chaotic balls into the Bristol box with clinical effect. After a tremendous bicycle kick from Ross Frame for number 6, the goal count could have easily reached double figures.


It has been a very positive start to the season for UWIC, showcasing their hunger for success this year. Since the manager took over three years ago he now firmly believes that there is no reason this team can’t be in BUCS premier division in 2-3 seasons. “It’s an exciting time for the football club with the look to progressing further and further, building as a whole by weekly, with all squads consistently maximising their potential and not losing the focus”.
