ideal temperature. Reversing fans clear debris screens on-command, extending service intervals.
Bandit Industries offers a complete line of four different forestry mulchers that are “taking the industry by storm”, according to Marketing Manager Kim Hasenbank. These machines, ranging in size from 275-600 hp, feature superior operating performance, unsurpassed reliability, and keep the ever-important operator’s comfort in mind. Known throughout the forest products
industry for their innovation, durability, and versatility, Bandit developed its line of forestry mulchers based on suggestions from customers and industry professionals looking for the ideal machine. Using the same patented technology from the Beast horizontal grinders, these mulchers make quick work of the most challenging site clearance projects. Key to the power and performance of
Bandit’s forestry mulchers are the construction grade motors. The Bandit machines provide more power to the head, due in part to a slower rpm and higher maximum torque for a consistent, steady head speed. Dual-hydraulic tanks separate the carrier and grinding mechanisms to avoid the chance of cross- contamination between systems. Should an issue arise, maintenance costs and downtime are significantly reduced. This dual system also ensures that power is not wasted on the drive system when grinding, as nearly all the engine hp is transferred to the cutting head. “Not only do the internal facets of the machine maximise performance, but the design of the cutting head and tools themselves ensure long-life and durability,” Hasenbank said. The sawtooth-style cutting tool allows energy to be conserved during grinding. The cutting raker limits the bite taken with each rotation, and the end-product left behind is ideal for mulch and ground cover. Other important features of Bandit’s forestry mulcher line include ‘beltless’ bearings for ease of maintenance, and a unique drop-out mower head with quick-detach system for converting the forestry mower to a high-powered stump

Model 4000 and Model 5000 mulchers are generally used for large site clearance projects in conjunction with track whole tree chippers. Others still are used in the forest products industry to mow select facets of the forest for
