TYRES & CHAINS Terra TL-95 track debut
Clark Track’s TL-95 was debuted in June 2011 on a Ponsse Elephant operating in Southern Scotland. The track is designed for the largest forest machines on the market,
from 14t payload upwards and is one of the best multi-terrain, multi- season track available for large, powerful forwarders and harvesters with less susceptibility to re-welding damage.

Skogsgrip is a chain easy to mount
Good grip decreases the risk of ground damage
pattern, which is suitable for skidders working on grounds with high clay content. For operators who wish to quickly and easily mount and dismount their traction chains, Gunnebo Skogsgrip is a good
choice. The operator mounts the chains by pulling the tails through the rings on the opposite side of the chain and fastening them with shackles in the side chain. IFI
A good grip gives both raised productivity and increase safety – Kjell-Åke Larsson, Gunnebo
• Steel tread plies and cut resistant tread and sidewall compounds for protection from cuts and punctures
• Tread designed as ‘traction lug’.
Gunnebo Industries has increased sales of traction chains due to extreme winter conditions across Europe. “A good grip gives both raised
productivity and increase safety,” Gunnebo Sales and Marketing Manager Kjell-Åke Larsson said. Chains also reduce ground damage in difficult conditions, while soil damage from skidding is reduced by providing additional traction.
Gunnebo has also designed a U-stud feature for its chains. The
stud has a wide contact area against the ground which gives a consistent grip. The “extremely good” grip also depends on the fact that the U-stud is always one size bigger than the chain – 16 mm stud on a 13 mm chain and 19 mm stud on a 16 mm chain. In addition to good grip, the TS-chains provide side protection that protects the tyres in stony grounds against abrasion and cuts.
Gunnebo’s sales of traction chains to skidders have increased in the last few years. For big skidders, Megastud 160TS is very popular. Because of the wide, double-welded stud the chain delivers maximum grip. Megastud is also available with a more open
