Record highs for Dubai Airport


Dubai International Airport (DIA) witnessed the busiest six months in its 50-year his- tory in the first half of 2011, with 24.6 million passengers passing through the facility. The results catapulted the air-


port to fourth on the list of the world’s busiest airports in the first half. It also marked an 8.9 percent increase on the 22.6 mil- lion who used the airport in the first half of 2010. In June, Dubai International handled a total of 4.07 million passengers up 10.4 percent from the 3.68 million who passed through the airport in June 2010. The average monthly passen-
