The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, (TCEB) has named Hua Hin as one of the five destinations to be pro- moted in its latest ‘Luxury MICE’ campaign. Hua Hin is being pitched to the meetings industry as a luxury beach destination that is popular with Thai royalty and offers “first class infrastructure and accommodation”. TCEB has said it is confident the new ‘Luxury MICE’
campaign will help generate 15-20 percent growth for Thailand’s inbound meetings industry – the equivalent of US$129 million in 2011. Other destinations selected for the campaign include Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Samui. Hua Hin boasts more than 11,000 hotel rooms, with ven-
ues for business events that can accommodate up to 5,000 guests. The town is conveniently located just two-and-a-half hours by road from Bangkok. Hua Hin also has an airport.
