A CAMP WITH A DIFFERENCE Arabian Adventures has introduced a unique, high-end desert experience for groups both small (from two guests) and large (up to 400 guests). The desert experience is completely tailored to the group’s requirement. As an example, at around 3pm, safari

vehicles pick up guests and transfer them to a camel farm situated at the edge of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR). Tours of the farm are available and there is an in-house shop where guests can taste and purchase camel- milk chocolate. Guests are then transported to the

heart of DDCR – Arabian Adventures is the only DMC allowed venture into this reserve, which is a 225-square-kilometre area of pristine desert. During the dune drive there is a

chance guests might spot an Arabian Oryx or Gazelles in their natural envi- ronment. At sunset, champagne is served on a dune top before the entertainment begins – a falcon show, belly dancer, oudh player, Arabic band, catering by a five-star hotel, plus a “very high end” camp set up. The desert meeting is part of Ara-

bian Adventures’ Exclusive Collection - a new bespoke service offering a range of tailor-made excursions and experiences.

MOUNTAIN MAGIC When it comes to offering tailor-made experiences and unique venues, Six Senses Resorts & Spas is an expert in the field. Its resort in Oman – Zighy Bay – is no exception, offering a

myriad of one-off or unusual options for gatherings. For starters there’s the Private Reserve (3,000 square metres),

located at the secluded end of Zighy Bay on its own stretch of private beach, with its own entrance leading to a spacious Arabic courtyard and its three villas. There are four bedrooms, a variety of separate living and dining areas for entertaining, a gym, wine cellar, maids’/nannies’ quarters, private security quarters, and an oversized infinity swimming pool. The resort also offers the ser- vices of both a live-in butler and a personal chef who will cater to your every need at any time. The reserve can sleep eight adults (in four bedrooms) and two children below 12 years (in day beds). Also catering to small groups, a meeting on a traditional Ara-

bian Dhow might fit the bill with breakout sessions set aside for snorkelling or diving in the Gulf of Oman. Or for an exclusive dining option, the resort can set up meetings at Senses on the Edge – the restaurant that sits 293 metres above sea level on the mountain top. And to get the adrenalin pumping around the veins ahead of a

high-powered meeting, suggest that your delegates paraglide into the resort from the mountain top – an arrival option offered to all guests to Zighy Bay!
