A Boston native, BHURIN SEAD has been a “blue man” since 2008. With the current national tour hitting San Diego from Tuesday, September 20 to Sunday, September 25 as part of Broadway San Diego’s 35th season, Bhurin elaborates for The Rage Monthly about the new tour, a few insider tips on what it means to be “blue” and what he enjoys the most about being one of the BLUE MAN GROUP.

As performers, are you involved in coming up with the inventive and entertaining concepts for the show? There are a group of guys in New York who work on
creating the new material including two of the original Blue Men, Chris Wink and Phil Stanton. They work with some of the directors and it funnels down to all the different tour shows and we load it in and perform it. Whenever they come into town, we give feedback of what’s working and what’s not working. They’ll go back and try to make things better. So, it’s always an evolving process that keeps going on.
