volunteers to the Join the Chorus Info Night. The evening of music and laughter is an exciting opportunity for prospective members and volunteers to learn more about the 140-member chorus, meet members and make new friends. The evening includes auditions for the upcoming winter 2011 holiday concert, after aspiring singers sit in on a lively pre-rehearsal for the upcoming show. The night is set to feature a live mini-concert, video highlights from past concerts, lots of food, prizes and a few surprises. Voices for Children is a non profit agency that trains and supervises volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for the children in San Diego’s foster care system. Much more than a “mentor,” these volunteers make recommendations to judges on behalf of foster children’s needs and in their best interest.
