day at Disneyland. Disney cast members have long joked that Gay Days are the only time when the percent- age of gays in the park comes close to matching the per- centage in the cast and staff. The homosexual population has come a long way from those suppressed, closeted days to a time when special days are set aside specifically to celebrate being gay.
Let’s face it; every day is gay GAY DAYS ANAHEIM at the Disneyland Resort continues to
expand its gaymusement with three fun-filled days. The festivities start with “Pride Cocktails” at the Sorrell Room at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel on Friday, Sep- tember 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. for FREE! This will be an opportunity to meet Disneyland’s LGBT Diversity Resource Group PRIDE, as they welcome you to the Resort. That same evening take a trip down the rabbit hole to Alice’s Wonderland in Downtown Disney from 9:30 p.m. to 1a.m. at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney for $20 to benefiting The Trevor Project—returning this year is host“ess” Momma and DJ Ray Rhodes. On Saturday, October 1 from 8 a.m. to midnight, Disneyland elevates from the Happiest to the Gayest Place on Earth! At 11 a.m. meet at the Mark Twain Riverboat and join in on the cruising (in more ways than one) and speaking of cruising, at 11:30 a.m. there is another hunt going on—a Scavenger Hunt. The price is $25 with incred- ible prizes for Disneyland know-it-alls. You must register ahead of time. At high noon Saturday gather for a Gay Family Fried Chicken Lunch at the Plaza
Inn on Main Street, or a Ladies Lunch at Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland, or for you bears and bear-lovers at the Hungry Bear Restaurant, in Critter Country. There will be a gargantuan group photo opportunity at the Festival Arena behind Big Thunder Mountain at 2 p.m. It’s a Small World’s Parade at 4 p.m. , and Let’s All Sing like the Birdies in the Tiki Room with hula dance lessons at 5 p.m. Suzanne Westenhoefer, the hilarious lesbian stand-up comedian performs at
Disney’s Grand California Hotel at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party at the Anabella Hotels, Tangerine Lounge. Kingdom is a sexy place to gather at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., which is the centerpiece event of the weekend with DJ Kimberly S back at the turntables. Frenchie Davis—hot off the hit show, The Voice shares the stage with the Divas of the Kingdom and the room will be laced with sizzling go-go dancers. Sunday, October 2 brings Gay Days to Disney’s California Adventure from 10 a.m.
to 10 p.m. Outside the park at Annabelle, is Plunge! where you may get wet, even if you aren’t in the pool, here’s why; water games with guests clad in swimsuits, under gear models, cocktails, music and a barbecue that won’t be the only thing flaming. Plan B is an unofficial gathering for cocktails at the Hearthstone Lounge at Disney’s Grand California at 8 p.m. a detailed itinerary and ticket information is available at

OUT ON THE MOUNTAIN rolls out the rainbow carpet, as Six Flags and DJ Ray Rhodes host the annual Magic Mountain LGBT Private Party on Friday, September 23 from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. The party is closed to the general public for this special gay and gay-friendly event (no regular tickets or season passes ac- cepted)! All ages are welcome with gates opening at 6 p.m. with ride access until midnight and dancing until 1 a.m. Your world will be turned upside down not only by the rides, but by the hot men and women that fill the landscape. The advanced price at $35.50 is on
outonthemountain.com, which includes free parking. Tickets at the gate are $50 and for ten dollars more you can gorge on the all-you-can-eat cheeseburgers, chili cheese dogs, barbecue beans, kernel corn and sodas in the picnic area from 7 to 9 p.m. For those of you that want VIP treatment including, front of line access to all rides, VIP parking, beer and wine tickets for the private lounge and $25 in Bugs Bunny Bucks, the VIP pass is $150. KNOTT’S BERRY FARM HALLOWEEN HAUNT is the unofficial gay-friendly event. Beginning Friday, September 23 and running for 28 horrifying nights, the theme park transforms itself into 160-acres of sheer ter- ror.
