As a bolt-on upgrade, BioVision combines colour vision with the existing current transverse geometric scanning system to maximise the grade and value of every board. The BioVision scanner provides information on visual defects such as knots and splits. Cut decisions are made based on configured wane and grade allowances. This technology can be implemented with a bolt-on upgrade, or through a comprehensive new installation. Vision scanning is achieved with the BioLuma 2900V sensor in a bolt-on configuration, or with the BioLuma 2900LV or LVG sensor in a new scan frame.
Planer Mill Automated Grading: Hands Free Operation USNR’s Lineal High Grader (LHG) and Transverse High Grader (THG) are industry leading dry mill auto grading systems backed by proven experience and a host of satisfied customers.
LHG: advanced features mimic human grading
Marginal grade logic, per board High/low grade, per pack Split/shake merging, per grade Interface with external moisture meter Graderless operation.
“Whether your target is to reduce labour costs, control below grade, reduce above grade in your packs, or target new markets by expanding your product line, our LHG offers the performance to let you hit your mark,” the supplier stated. LHG’s latest software release offers features that more closely mimic human grading capability. While the LHG is very adept in establishing high value products, and making sure boards and packs meet the grade rule allowances, it can result in boards in a pack or grade classification not meeting the appearance expectations of the end user. These features expand the mills’ flexibility for managing their grading process.
LHG offers fully integrated MSR/MEL
evaluation within its frame. Board vibration and proven density measurements provide MSR evaluation with more accurate MOE predictions and greater yields.
THG: similar to LHG but in a transverse package
Full four-face scanning with only two rows of sensors
Uses proven LHG software to process the data and optimise the solutions
BioLuma 2900LVG+ sensors
LED lighting modules for top, bottom and off-axis illumination for vision scanning High speed, flat lumber transport system Graderless operation.
THG uses the proven technology from our LHG and combines it with our latest extra-high
