Hilton Worldwide (formerly Hilton Hotels Corporation) was founded by Conrad Hilton, a hotel entrepreneur, in Cisco, Texas, US, in 1919. Over 92 years, Hilton Worldwide has become the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full-service hotels and resorts to extended-stay suites and mid-priced hotels. In 2006, the company’s international and US brands came together for the fi rst time in 40 years.
