Working to keep customers on the road, the Bridgestone service team services, repairs and replaces worn tyres. Real Answers meets Edwin Ramos, Tyre Technician to learn more about this job and his typical day’s work


HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING WITH BRIDGESTONE? It has been eight years now. I was recruited directly from the Philippines where I previously worked as a mechanic and have been stationed in our Tyre Service Center in Jebel Ali for all of my employment here so far.


DID YOU NEED TO UNDERTAKE A LOT OF TRAINING TO PERFORM YOUR ROLE? There was a lot of training in the beginning involving the manual processes of tyre repair and the operation of the machines we use here at the branch. Nowadays, I am actually a trainer myself and have responsibility for instructing some of our team members from other branches and distributors who come to us in Jebel Ali for their training.
