I never get tired of the stories of people who have come to America from other countries who worked very hard and became extremely successful. It is, after all, an Ameri- can dream. We don’t hear of these rags to riches stories as often as we used to, so when I was intro- duced to Valerie Orsoni, I knew this was one tale that needed to be told in this issue on women in power. Even though her story is not all ros- es, she has risen above it all as a highly accomplished woman. In my interview with Orsoni, I wanted to know what made her a woman of power.


Orsoni is a successful entrepreneur, best-selling author, world-renown trainer, nutritionist, and a mother. She may also add cancer survivor, and has over come a brain tumor,


to this list of accomplishments that has inspired Orsoni to help others live a better, more fulfilled life.

rible consequences. I fought and won each time and whatever hap- pens in the future I will always keep my pit-bull attitude: nobody, not even myself, is allowed to make me feel inferior. Nobody, not even my- self, is allowed to tell me I will fail,” Orsoni firmly states.
