learned to love themselves, learned to deal with their feelings and learned to let go.

When Melody Moore came from USA as part of Seane Corn’s Off the Mat and Into the World initiative and met the Earthchild Project team, she was so enriched by what Xoli was doing with the girls that she is now in the process of starting up her own Women’s group in America.

There are various ways and means to do this. Melody is focusing on women with eating disorders and how to overcome this, through Yoga. There are women’s groups focused on expressing oneself through dance & movement or art. All of these groups are focusing on empowering one’s self and connecting to one’s infinite inner power and ‘goddessness’.

Louise L Hay mentions in her book The Power is With- in You “The more you connect to the power within you, the more you can be free in all areas of your life.”

Women’s groups are a wonderful way to connect with your inner light and with many like-minded women. Either search on the Internet for an existing group in your area or create your own? You can be creative and gather a few friends together for a ‘Power-Thought’ card session over lunch and some bubbly.

Feed your spirit!

Discover what it is that feeds your soul – dancing, singing, walks in nature, cooking, spending time with children – and then create a space for a group of wom- en to do the same. Inspire one another to feel more spontaneous, alive, happy and empowered.

You can even go the route that Xoli did and inspire underprivileged girls in your community.

If creating your own Women’s Group or joining a group seems too daunting then find a way in which you can feed your spirit by inspiring and supporting others. For example sponsor one of the 12 girls in Xoli’s Young Women’s group. By creating ways to raise just R3 000 ($45 USD) you can sponsor one of the girls for a year and provide them with hope and possibilities.

Inspire yourself, encourage yourself, take the risk and get a taste of your true personal power. Go on… search deeply, share with other inspirational women, be part of a women’s group and go and find the gift of yourself.
