Mystery Pub Last months mystery pub was The Brown Cow at Chatburn. The Brown Cow is a traditional country pub and restaurant, located in the beautiful Ribble Valley. They are open all day - every day. They serve excellent quality; freshly prepared and locally sourced meals, and all of their food is homemade and prepared by their chef, Jamie ‘Jimbo’ Medina. Alongside a varied main menu, they have a daily specials board and their aim is to offer top quality dishes at great value for money. Their bar boasts a choice of real ales, draught lagers and ciders, a varied wine list and an excellent choice of soft drinks and non-alcohol drinks for drivers and kids of all ages. They offer a full range of freshly ground coffee along with nibbles, and their coffee beans are sourced locally from Clitheroe. Jon and Michelle also have a large beer garden to the rear and they are a happy to welcome all four legged friends as long as they are kept on a lead and well behaved. Whalley Arms


A traditional pub, situation on the corner next to the mini roundabout, with a huge car park to the rear; it has bags of warmth and charm.


An excellent menu has recently been introduced to the pub; prepared by a highly skilled team of chefs.


The atmosphere is second to none, fantastic offers and always something going on to keep you entertained.
