Padiham Football Club Members of Padiham Football Club have been celebrating the successes of the clubs Ladies team and Under 16 Youth team after both teams won their respective league titles and remained unbeaten throughout the 2010/11 football season in league fixtures. Padiham FC Ladies were champions of the Lancashire FA County Women’s League Division One whilst the Storks Youth team were champions of the East Lancashire Alliance Under 16 Youth League winning all their league fixtures. Padiham FC’s Reserve team are also well placed to win the Vodkat North West Counties Football League Reserve Division.
Padiham Football Club are hosting a Charity Football Match at their Arbories Memorial Sports Ground on Sunday 8th May to raise money for Pendleside Hospice and to celebrate a reunion of footballers from Towneley High School, 30 years on. The game will be between Towneley High School aka Towneley Athletic (1979-1989) and a Padiham FC Veterans side. The game kicks-off at 11am and admission is just a pound.
Padiham Football Club are also helping to organise Padiham’s first ever Aquathlon which takes place on Sunday 22nd May at Padiham Leisure Centre. The event involves a 600 metre swim in Padiham Pool and a 7.5K run along the new Green Way and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal as well as road and track.
