PENDLE Pub Walk organisers have announced that for a second year running Burnley based Moorhouse’s Brewery will be the main sponsor of the event. Moorhouse’s supported last year’s highly successful event and organisers are delighted to be teaming up once again with the award winning brewery. The real ale specialists have agreed to blend a special beer that will be available at most of the hostelries that the walk will call at. The circular walk – scheduled to start from 10:30am on Saturday 18th June – is organised by Rotarians from Burnley Pendleside Club. This year’s event is raising funds for Pendleside Hospice. David Grant, the Managing Director of Moorhouse’s Brewery said: “We are delighted to be sponsors of Pendle Pub Walk once again – it’s a superb event and as last year demonstrated hundreds of people can come together to share a love of walking and the outdoors whilst supporting a wonderful cause. The Pendle scenery the walkers pass through is absolutely stunning. “We’ve created a special beer for the event - so walkers can enjoy a refreshing pint whilst supporting Pendleside Hospice,” added David. Grahame Trudgill one of the organisers of the walk, said: “We’re delighted that Moorhouse’s are once again supporting Pendle Pub Walk – their efforts in supporting the event are hugely appreciated.” People interested in either participating or sponsoring walkers should visit the website -
www.pendlepubwalk.co.uk –you can register for just £10. Organisers say that everyone is welcome on the walk, and are urging people to register now whilst places are still available.
