PETER BRADLEY: Apprentice midfielder who turned professional with Shrewsbury in July 1973 and made three League appearances during the 1973-74 campaign before moving to Telford United in July 1974. He later played for Oswestry Town and Kidderminster Harriers, settling in the Donnington area.

GRAHAM TURNER: Successful player-boss who netted 22 goals in 355 League outings before moving to Aston Villa as manager in July 1984, then took charge of Wolves in October 1986 and plotted their rise. He was manager/chairman of Hereford United for 15 years, rejoining Shrewsbury as manager in June 2010.
