1. Adam Bartlett - The 24 year old shot stopper is in his second season in the Football League having initially began at hometown club Newcastle United. He featured for their reserve team but was released in 2005 and after three seasons with Blyth Spartans he signed for Conference side Kiddermister Harriers at the start of last season. After an impressive season for Kiddy he won the Conference Goalkeeper of the Year award, and even made an appearance in the Conference play-off final for Cambridge United having signed on an emergency loan, but ended up on the losing side. He has proven himself to be an adept penalty stopper after producing vital saves in cup ties against Aldershot, Leyton Orient and Charlton last season.


2. Ryan Green - The 30 year old defender made his senior debut for the Welsh international side back in June 1998 against Malta aged just 17, becoming their youngest ever international in the process. Green was contracted to Wolves at the time, but would struggle at Molineux and after spells at Torquay, Milwall, Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday originally arrived at Edgar Street in 2003. He went on to appear 117 times for The Bulls, netting four goals including the winner in the 2006 Conference play-off final against Halifax. After three injury-prone years at Bristol Rovers the right-back returned to Herefordshire at the start of last season.


3. Ryan Valentine - A former Wales Under-21 international, the left back signed for Hereford in May 2009. The 28 year old played youth football for Everton before moving to Darlington in 2002, where he spent four seasons and made 162 league appearances. In the summer of 2006 he left the Quakers for his home-town club Wrexham, and in his first season he scored a vital penalty for the Dragons in the final game of the season against Boston United to help retain their Football League status. In January 2008 Ryan departed Wrexham and returned to Darlington for a season before moving to Edgar Street.


4. Janos Kovacs - Currently club captain, the giant Hungarian centre back was signed by Simon Davey after his contract with Luton Town expired. A former U21 international, he began his career with MTK Budapest in 2003 but only made one appearance before being given a crack at the Football League with Chesterfield two years later. He spent three seasons at Saltergate, punctuated by a loan spell at York City, before joining Lincoln City before his contract was cancelled in January. After making 17 appearances for Luton, he marked his Bulls debut by scoring a bullet header in an away win at Crewe Alexandra.


5. Michael Townsend - Another summer signing by Simon Davey, the central defender spent three years as a scholarship player at Wolves but never featured for the first team and signed for Cheltenham Town in January 2005. He made his debut on the opening day of the 2005-06 season and was a regular member of the squad throughout the campaign however his time at the club was blighted with various injuries, but he returned for the start of the 2008-09 season after a three month loan spell at Barnet. After

making 134 appearances for The Robins he was released in the summer before Davey acted quickly to snap him up.


6. Richard Rose - The versatile defender began his career at Gillingham as a youth player in 2000 and played 58 first team games for them before being was released in May 2006. He was signed by Hereford for their first season in the Football League and in 2007-08 helped them finish third and gain automatic promotion to League One. The 28 year old has gone on to make over 150 appearances for The Bulls and cementing himself as a fans favourite, and can occupy any of the back four roles, as well as midfield.


7. Stuart Fleetwood - After leaving the club in 2007, the Welsh striker returned in the summer after a hectic three years away. The 24 year old began his youth career with Cardiff City, eventually making his way into the first team but left for The Bulls in 2006. He helped them earn promotion to League Two and netted a hat-trick against Coventry City in the Carling Cup which led to a Wales U21 cap, but was sent on loan to Accrington Stanley before joining Forest Green Rovers in 2007. He banged in 36 goals in 49 games during his only season at the club which prompted Charlton Athletic to sign him but he would only make one appearance after being farmed out to Cheltenham, Brighton and Exeter on loan.


8. Dan Stratford - The midfielder began his career at Fulham's academy. When he was 19 he went to the United States where he joined West Virginia University and played in 85 matches for the college side. During his time in the States he also played for Cape Cod Crusaders and also in the MLS for DC United. On returning to Britain he signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle and played in 14 league matches in 2009-10. After a trial period at Edgar Street he signed a one-year contract for The Bulls in July.


9. Mathieu Manset - A French striker who started his youth career with Le Havre, the 21 year old signed for the club after a trial in October 2009. Manset made an immediate impact on his Bulls debut when he came on as a substitute against Aldershot in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and scoring a goal which put Hereford in the lead. He went on to establish himself in the first team by the end of the season and scored five goals, and since the appointment of Jamie Pitman he has found his goalscoring touch once again, scoring six goals in six games.


10. Sean Canham - The striker was signed from Notts County in the summer following his release. He made his name at Team Bath between 2005 and 2008, scoring 68 goals in 120 appearances after being released by hometown club Exeter City in 2005. His Notts County career started well enough but struggled to break into the first team towards the end of his time at Meadow Lane, enjoying a loan spell at Hayes and Yeading last season.
