Now before we go any further: Yes,

I did ask if I could see his Corvette. Silence please… As we enter the Shrine we are

met with carpet floors and Corvette memorabilia. And there she sits: a 1990 C4 blue-

on-blue machine that I swear to God still has the new car smell. It looks fast just sitting there. Then we lift the hood, and for a

moment you find yourself catching your breath. Unbelievable! This is a very proud Corvette

at any given time, and it attracts three basic types of owners: Track Drivers, Gentlemen Drivers and Concours Owners. They come from all different walks of life. Their common passion for the Corvette is the binding agent. The fun never stops with the

Capital Corvette club. They participate in the Hazeldean Mall and Rideau Carleton Raceway Cruise nights. They use any excuse to go for a drive. The networking aspect is one that provides all owners with the ability to connect with other owners who can steer them in the right direction should they need mechanical advice, Concours tips, or parts location for a

restoration project. Last but not least is the passion

to help others in buying their dream Corvette. Many a time the members will help you locate a “clean” car and guide you when purchasing an older model. Many of these inquiries for ‘Vette-finding assistance go through the club’s web site: www.capitalcorvetteclub.ca “Is that all?” I ask my host. “Not at all, Peppe,” he answers.
