What a great edition we have this month. There’s so much to celebrate in March, as we see the first signs of spring, such as St Patrick’s Day, Red Nose Day, World Water Day, No Smoking Day, Maths Day, Book Day, Forestry Day, Kidney Day, National Bed Month, and, wait for it, Brain Awareness Week. Honestly! See page 24. Plus, we’ve just got to tell you about our new Herald’s Angels. Catherine and Becky join us from local radio adding more valuable experience to our sales team. Full details on page 18. Then we have Geoff Houghton on board to look after our pubs and clubs. Geoff has experience as a pub landlord, and like Al Murray, has a brilliant sense of humour. On the theme of humour, we have dedicated an article to the Late, Great Tommy Cooper who was born on 19th March. See page 17. There are several other special features in this edition including Homes and Gardens from page 13. St Patricks Day, page 16, and because Mother’s Day falls on 3rd April this time, we thought we’d do a page as an early reminder. Page 23. But don’t worry we’ve still left plenty of room for loads of quizzes, cultural and educational articles, Irish jokes and all the usual daft stuff. Enjoy.
