World Book Day in the UK and Ireland will take place on Thursday 3rd March. Friday March 4th is The Great Daffodil Appeal Join offices and workplaces across the country and wear something yellow to work to raise money for our Marie Curie Nurses. World Maths Day is an online mathematics competition and will be held on Tuesday 1st March. Can’t wait! International Women's Day (8th March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women. The first event was run in 1911. 2011 is the Centenary Year. The Ventriloquist was telling Irish jokes at a club when an Irishman in the audience stood up and, in an angry voice, said to the ventriloquist “I am sick and tired of people like you taking the micky out of the Irish.”


The Ventriloquist apologised profoundly, explaining that he was sorry if he had caused offence. “I’m not talking to you.” Said the Irishman. “ I’m talking to that little fella’ on your knee.”
