Padiham Football Club
Padiham Football Clubs spectacular start to 2011 has certainly raised a few eye brows up and down the North West and even further afield with the Storks manager Craig Chadwick picking up the Vodkat North West Counties Football League Premier Division Manager of the Month award for January and Storks central defender Kieran Fletcher being named the Vodkat North West Counties Football League Premier Division player of the Month as well. Padiham won three and drew one of their four league games in January and at the time of writing have won one and drawn one of their two league fixtures played in February pushing them into a top six position in the league table. It has also helped Padiham FC full back Ben Hoskin secure a two week trial with American Major Soccer League club Colorado Rapids and the chance to line up against former England captain David Beckham should he be successful. Ben joined Padiham at the start of the season after the former Burnley FC professional was released by the Clarets following a back injury. Off the pitch Padiham FC have been successful in a grant
application to Burnley Borough Councils Connecting Communities Fund and have been allocated two thousand pounds towards the clubs running costs. Padiham FCs home fixtures in March include Atherton LR on Saturday the 12th and Barnoldswick Town on Saturday the 26th. Both games kick-off at 3pm.
