Breeders’ Futurity and Fall Finale Quarter Horse Circuit
2010 Ontario Quarter Horse

The Non Pro Showmanship Challenge and the Slot Classes were 2 of the highlights of this year’s OQHBF and the Fall Finale Quarter Horse Circuit. The judges for this year’s show were Mr. Dean Ross of Castor, Alberta and Ms. Dawn Clason of Medina, Ohio. 140 horses were shown for a total of almost 900 entries. The show was again held at the Royal Canadian Riding Academy in Newmarket (Cedar Valley). River Bend Designs was the official photog- rapher. Photos can be viewed at www.RiverBendDe-
signs.org. 2010 OQHA Queen, Ms. Lindsay Allen, OQHA Junior Princess, Ms. Jackie Heitzner and Congress Queen, Ashley Cook assisted with Award Presentations.
The Non Pro Showmanship Challenge sponsored by the Ontario Amateur Quarter Horse Association, Area 3 Quarter Horse Club and Eastern Ontario Quar- ter Horse Association offered $1,000.00 in Added Money with a total purse of $1,306. All exhibitors performed the posted pattern and then were given a second pattern to complete. Rianna Storey of Cam- bridge showing Lopin In The Sky earned $417.92 in 1st place; Paige Carter-Fleetwood was second with Docs Daring Me winning $287.32. 3rd place was Kristin Tupling of Barrie, showing A Matter of Inter- est receiving $248.14; Tied for 4th were Rob Rivait of Orillia with Classical Version and Kayla Moore of Owen Sound showing She Takes A Minute, each winning $130.60; 6th Place was Kristina Hakala of Sudbury with Rite Investment earning $104.48. New this year were the Slot Classes. The Slot Classes were held on Saturday evening following the Showmanship Challenge. The judges were nominat- ed by the exhibitors in the class and included a num- ber of trainers from Ontario and Michigan. The Yearling Halter Slot Class had a total of 8
