September 19 Finals Once again there was no rain in Richmond and we had a terrific turnout of spectators to cheer on our contestants. For sev- eral of the categories the year end championships came right down to the wire. We were privi- leged to have Mr. Joe Carter for our judge. In the Open Clare Smith came out on top and son Duane won the Non Pro. Jon Walker finished first in the Intermediate and Ralph Miller won the Novice Horse. Sherry Black brought her new mare and triumphed in the Beginner Horse and Peter Vellenga won the Beginner Rider. Lynne Bowen prevailed in the Green as Grass and Gavin Workman won the Youth. As a fundraiser for the Terry Fox Run, more than $500 was collected through the day from fines for losing hats and prize money rendered.
After the show, we had a great crowd who stayed for the Annual General Meeting. This included discussions on how to improve our shows for next year and the elections followed by a chicken and steak BBQ. Of course our awards for year end champions were also pre- sented at this time.

Deskunking and Deodorizing Shampoo and Conditioner!
From
"For 25 years I've been a pet groomer - and for that long I have searched for a successful skunk odor removal shampoo. Finally I have found one in the new Orange aPEEL De Skunker Deodorizer Sham- poo. The lather is very easy to work in around sensi- tive eyes and noses and the smell of the shampoo is wonderful. The skunky odor is removed, not just masked. The next day the dog still smells clean and fresh.
Orange aPEEL DeSkunker Deodorizer shampoo is now a staple on my shelf along side the Orange a Peel Pet Shampoo."

The Western Fair held the Ranch Horse Versatility and congratulations go to Sherry
Black and Jacs Spinafox who won the Open and Amateur divisions. Nelson Bilyea and Commander Bay Berry was reserve in both divisions. September 21 - 25 was a great experience as the ORCHA, ORHA and OCHA collaborated to put on demonstrations at the International Plowing Match in St. Thomas. The Wallacetown Fair planned to host a $1500 Jackpot Working Cow Horse competition but it was unfortu- nately cancelled due to rain.
