12/2010 Blazer wins world champ title

Sheza Especial Gold, a HorseCoursesOnline.com pro- ject horse, earned the title of World Champion in Junior Trail competition at the Ameri- can Buckskin Registry Associ- ation World Show in Tulsa, OK.

Ridden by Don Blazer

instructor for the online course, Training Performance Horses, the four-year-old filly was placed first under all five judges. Sheza, as she is know around the barn, was started under saddle two years ago as part of a series of video demonstrations used in the col- lege and professional certifica- tion courses. In 2009 Blazer rode Commander Pine Bar, another HorseCoursesOnline.com pro- ject horse to the title of Reserve World Champion in Junior Trail.

Blazer is one of five train- ers of World Champions on the faculty of HorseCoursesOn- line.com (HCO) the leading provider of equine study cur- riculum for colleges and uni- versities world-wide. HCO provides 26 equine study courses leading to a Bachelor of Science degree from Breyer State University and profes- sional certifications as a horse trainer or riding instructor from the Equine Studies Institute. Other world champion trainers on the HCO faculty include Nancy Cahill, Cathy Hanson, Dr. Jim McCall and Gord Wadds.

Sheza’s training from before the first saddle to the flying change of leads fol- lowed the online course lesson plan and was supplemented with lessons from Cathy Han- son’s course, Train A Trail Horse.
