“The Canadian Show Jumping Tournament is the last big event of the outdoor season, and will feature all of the year-end competitions that go along with it,” said show orga- nizer Craig Collins, managing partner of Equestrian Manage- ment Group. “We are also continuing to build on the great tradition that began last year, when we transitioned the event into the Canadian Show Jumping Tournament.” Collins continued, “The most fantastic thing that hap- pened last year was that we were able to deliver $40,000 to the Children’s Wish Foundation. That money came directly from our sport, from the members of the show jumping com- munity who came together to support the cause. Everyone from the Grand Prix riders to the little children riding ponies found a way to make a donation. There could not be a stronger connection between the charity and our event, and we look forward to exceeding that amount in 2010.” The annual Children’s Wish Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 25, and will feature live and silent auc- tions, dinner and live music, and an expanded charity casino with a Monte Carlo theme.
