The 2010 version of the NBHA Canada Finals was held August 27-29th at the Ancaster Fairgrounds in Ancaster Ontario for the second year-this time on an earlier weekend to take advan- tage of hopefully better weather. And take advantage of it we did. The great weather allowed competitors to stall outdoors if they chose and we all put the beautiful wash stall that Ancaster has to great use.

Over 125 horses came out to partake in the 4D class with additional entries in the youth Senior Poles and Futurity classes that were offered. As an addition the Slot class was held Saturday evening after the first go of the futurity and the crowd bought their favourite riders in the Calcutta as they enjoyed their dessert and coffee that was offered after the district awards. The Slot Race was once again won by Tamaran Gray and her great horse Moon over Dash as she had previously won the slot race at the Spring Thaw in May in the same arena. They were on a roll as they con- tinued to dominate the next day by winning the Open 4D Finals with another smoking run in a time of 14.4.


District awards were also presented on Saturday evening to all District award winners who were present. A special award was presented to Lee Jackson for the NBHA Canada Best Sport Award. This award was sponsored by Best Bandages and Sandy Best.
