Happy New Year, and Happy New Decade to all our readers, and thank you for your emails and letters over the last year. They were all very complementary, from people who seem to enjoy our attempt at humour and spreading a bit of cheer. But we did get a disturbing message on our answerphone from one lady in Harle Syke who was unhappy at the heat loss when our delivery man left her copy sticking out of the letterbox. Oops! Sorry. So what delights are in this month’s edition. Well, a few articles are looking back over the last decade. Where did it go? What do you remember about the last 10 Years ? Unfortunately most of the strongest memories are about disasters and atrocities as we reflect on pages 18 & 19. But one over - riding, positive memory is winning the “Ashes.” Twice. Grumpy Git is looking forward to what could be in store for us over the next decade, on page 6. Janet, our intrepid fishing lady writer is looking forward to the spring on page 12.
