BFC NEW RETAIL OUTLET
Burnley Football Club now have a new retail outlet open in the town centre.
The official merchandise stall, based in Burnley's indoor market , stocks everything from shirts to key rings. A full range of replica wear is also available, along with all the latest adults, women's and junior fashion wear, books and much, much more.
The stall, which compliments the existing Clarets Store at Turf Moor, is accessed via Burnley market and will be open for business until at least January.
The Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa hosted its local corporate client evening. It was attended by local companies to thank them for their business throughout 2009. Some of the companies to attend the event were Promethean, Chubb, Optare, Blackburn Rovers, Daisy Communications, Cobham Defence and Crown Paints. Chris Ford Sales manager at the Dunkenhalgh said " the response to the invitation was overwhelming and we had to stagger the event over 2 nights to cope with the demand. It was also a good opportunity for our new hotel manager Paul Nixon who has recently joined the hotel to get to know some of the clients he is going to be working with in the future.
Paul has over 20 years experience in the Hotel trade, stared training as a chef with Hilton and Marriot in Yorkshire moving into manage- ment in the early 90's and taking on his first General Managers role at the age of 25 for a private ho- telier in North Wales, after spend- ing several years working at a 5 Star standard with De Vere hotels Paul more recently has developed 2 independent hotels as Opera- tional Director for an independent chain in Middlesbrough and Man- chester. My aspirations are to drive the quality standards at the Dunkenhalgh both in the Hotel and Spa keeping its reputation as a premier venue in the North West.
