Snow Queen
Be prepared for blizzards this winter with arctic accessories and snow-proof chic.
We can’t deny that last winter’s snow storms had their up sides – days trapped off work and in the pub for starters. But, when it came to braving the elements in style we were sadly under-prepared. Not so this year as autumn/winter fashion takes an arctic turn in anticipation of frosty weather. If those blizzards strike again, at least we’ll look the part as we battle in to work in alpine patterned jumpers and furry boots. Frankly, going shopping for some ski-inspired good- ies is the only sensible thing to do. Be prepared and all that.
Now, when it comes to fighting off Mr Frost on the fashion front there are two ways to go. First up, the cosy alpine- chic, log cabin look. For this you need some retro-pat- terned knitwear – honestly, it’s going to be big, trust us. Alternatively, go for full-on Snow Queen glamour with faux fur and shades of white, or Matalan for Yeti boots (£30). Nothing abominable about that funky footwear.
Matalan. Moccasin yeti boot, £18.
Matalan. Hat, £8, tunic, £16, skirt, £8.
House of Fraser. Therapy cream pom-pom bag, £22.
