G.L.C. (Gangsta Legendary Crisis) captured the attention of listeners looking for honesty and integrity in Hip Hop music with one heart-felt guest appearance. Just as much as it was his flow, it was the power in the words he rapped on “Spaceship” and “Drive Slow” on Kanye West album, that gained G.L.C.an audience and fan base. G.L.C. has released his debut album, ‘Love Life & Loyalty’ to start his flight of his own solo career.

Kix: Tell about the relationship between Kanye West and yourself… GLC: Kanye West is a great friend of G.L.C., exposed him to the world of music, they met back in 1993 through a mutual friend, with a messed up haircut he quoted “Kanye did it, he makes beats too, you need to meet him” at the age of 15 G.L.C. mentions “if your haircut lining was messed up, it was most probably come from Kanye … We had dreams; we wanted to be someone through music”…


Kix: Working with Kanye West, on the two tracks… ‘Spaceship’ and ‘Drive Slow’… how did they come about, and your experience? GLC: Spaceship came about, when G.L.C. mentions to Kanye West that he wants a record for Chicago “can you make me a beat” Kanye made it, G.L.C. vocaled his verse, Kanye


heard it and says “its going on my album” and with the added vocals of Consequence and Kanye ‘Space- ship’ was born. Drive Slow kicked off when Kanye mentions to G.L.C. he has a beat for him for the album, he played the beat with Paul Wall verse already on the track, G.L.C. helped with the hook, in 12 hours after spend- ing a lot of time, energy and vibing to the beat, G.L.C. laid the vocals early morning, Kanye enters the studio and says ‘SNAP’ its going on the album


Kix: Any News or Gossip about ‘Love Life & Loyalty’, what do we expect from the album… any secret collaborations… GLC: GLC album ‘Love Life & Loyalty’ has collaborations with the likes of Sir Mix-A-Lot & Bun B on ‘Clockin’ Lotsa Dollarz’, Kanye West & T-pain called ‘Flight School’, Job Legend ‘Let me Demostrate’, Twista ‘Cold as Ice’, BJ (Chicago Kid) ‘so real’ and a London based track with Manfred Man called ‘The Light’… the rest of the album features and information can be found on the GLC Website www.glcitymusic.com.


Kix: The first single…‘Clockin’ Lotsa Dollarz’ ft Bun B give us an insight about the track your thoughts your feelings and how did the


collaboration come about with Bun B GLC: The track ‘Clockin’ Lotsa Dollarz’ came about, through friend ship, G.L.C. knows Bun B for a period of 6 years, and produced by another friend Xcell. Xcell sent the beat with Sir Mix-A-Lot sample vocal on the track, and in turn G.L.C. wrote and provided the vocals and in listening to the near to finish track G.L.C. decides
