sideline and seeing the 25 + guys on your team that you would go to war within a second. That is Phoenix Ultimate at its best.

18. Do you listen to music prior to the game? If so, what bands or singers, and why? I listen to rap (usually eminmem) music on the way to the fields and sometimes on the morning jog around the field. But I never listen to anything during the warm-up drills because it’s time to focus.

19. Gotta ask......Who’s the best of the four of you? Me!!! Honestly, all my brothers are awesome, Derek is the famous one, but I know we all think we’re the best and that none of the other three can cover us, so what do you want me to say? Guess it depends who is on offence.

20. On that same note, is one of you better at one thing than the other? Do you each of strengths (better vertical, better handler, more consistent D?) Similar to what I am sure the others said. Ken is freaky

athletic and jumps and runs so easily he is ridiculously hard to try and cover in a lane, unless your Jamie. Jamie is the best defensive player out of us for sure. He has a natural ability to understand the game and is a winner. Also he plays much bigger than his not-so-big brother frame. Derek is a great player who like Jamie, wins. His ability to break the mark and throw with both hands is uncanny. That with his quickness and bail cuts makes him pretty much unstoppable. I am the consistent handler, I don’t turn over the disc much and I love to go up the line on bail defence.

21. How has the game changed from when you started? When I started it was vertical stacks and zone in the wind. Much has changed....Or has it for you? When I first started in high school it was all about the vertical. Then when Phoenix began we transitioned to horizontal. Now we are running both and have added split stack as well. Most of the other teams

are doing these sets as well, we all steal from each other .

22. How do you see the sport evolving. Back to v-stacks, or something else we haven’t seen yet? I think the sport will evolve in the sense that we will get away from handlers and cutters and go more into just having seven guys on the field that can do everything. No position, just athletes and that will make defence extremely hard.

23. Is the Ultimate community doing enough to get the sport growing at the youth level? If not, do you have any ideas? If yes, great. I think things have improved a lot since I was a junior, but I have to agree that it would be nice to see junior Ultimate go away from co-ed. 24. Which are your favourite tournaments, and why? I love Boston. It is just a big boy tournament. There is always great teams and you have to play well to win. But I agree with Jamie that cut is just a great tournament. It is so well run and the competition is nice. 25. Often Ulty players can remember big plays from years ago. Name a couple of plays you saw or were part of that really stick in your memory. Jamie’s grab at No Borders 2009 where he crawled, was just ridiculous. Dave Milk has had a few layouts that just amazed me. But honestly, I know there are so many that I can’t remember right now. Sorry. 26. Not counting your brothers,
