NAME: LISA TY Home Town: Montréal Team: Kerozen Position: Handler and Cutter on both lines Years Played: 3 Photo by: Philippe McLean If you could be coached by anyone who would it be and why? I don’t know if I could ask for more than what I’ve already had. I believe that I’ve been privileged with my coaches: Claudie Turcotte, Mélanie Bouchard, Jean-Claude Gervais, Jean-Lévy Champagne, Sonia Krajicek, Jean-Philippe Riopel, Guylaine Girard and Étienne Mathieu. I have been lucky to enjoy their experience and their advice because they are simply the bests! What does “Spirit of the Game” mean

to you? According to me, the Spirit of the Game is way more important than performance. I feel that a game can’t be completely joyful if there is some frustration. The spirit is the first thing that my coaches taught me when I started to play Ultimate and I never forgot that.

NAME: MIRA DONALDSON Home Town: Vancouver Team: West Coast Reign Position: O-line handler Years Played: 3 Photo by: Lee Gonzalez Who is your most influential Ultimate

player and why? Hannah Epperson! I first met her at a Halloween tournament last year. My team was playing hers and I was told to check the “girl in pink tights.” All I could think was “oh okay, the girl is wearing pink tights, how good could she be?” Well, I was wrong. She ran me into the ground, skied me every time, and probably d’d me at least 10 times. Over the next year I got to know her a little better and found out how cool and constantly cheerful and upbeat she is. Hannah has definitely been one of the players who I have looked up to in the last year. What is your favourite Ultimate moment?

Coming second at Jr. Worlds 2010 in Germany. Although it was a tight game and we ended up losing, the whole experience was amazing and the final moment that we shared as a team was still great.
